About Me

I am high energy, quirky, fun, hyper, intelligent, witty, and open minded. I love to make people smile and be happy. Life is too short for some of the shit we torture ourselves with every day. I laugh and I cry knowing that each is equally important to make life real. I am active and out going. I am a hand full! :-)

Sunday Night Blues : Jun 5, 2005
Well my friends, it is yet another Sunday evening. Ah, the thought & the thrill of the alarm going off on Monday morning...Oh how joyful that noise is! Only five long friggin days until the weekend!
Ya know, I think this country works entirely too much. We have the wrong priorities. Three day weekends should be mandatory. Memorial Day weekend was just long enough that I actually felt relaxed (note the picture..I am happy!)...at least for a couple of hours anyway. This, of course, is unlike tonight where tomorrow is looming with an evil intent on making me suffer somehow & someway. Slaving away for money (usually never anywhere enough to compensate for the monotony of the job) 5 days a week for 8 to 9 hours a day just seems like such a waste of life. A four day work weeks is plenty enough, if not too much (wishful thinking w/ the 3 day work week...hell, even the 4 day work week is wishful thinking!). Think about how pleasant people would become if they actually had more free time to enjoy their lives.
Wow, who are these people living in my house? Oh yeah! That would be my family! Who is this person sleeping in my bed? Oh, I think that's my spouse! By the way dear, when did we find the time to meet, date, marry, and then procreate? Ok, must of been that 3 day weekend years ago!
Ok, I am being facetious here but I am just discouraged a bit. Life is such a mockingly ironic & often times humiliating ride. What a catch 22 it is that we have to work hard to make more money so that we can use it to have fun. However, we never have time to have fun because we work so hard to make money to have fun. Oh yeah and to keep our jobs by looking good to the boss-man, who by the way is probably out enjoying his/her life while you get paid shit to do all the work..It just seems so ridiculous. I truly wish I knew what my bliss &/or calling was regarding work. I envy those who work within their "field of dreams" (sorry about the pun here) and actually make a living wage...& sometimes enough to afford health insurance! Gotta make sure we are healthy enough to get out of the bed every morning and go to work! Oh hell, I should just stop my bitching. I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to buy a lottery ticket. It seems that is truly the only ticket to retirement and health insurance that I will ever have! I know that the lottery is a pipe dream but we all gotta have dreams, right? I certainly have my share of nightmares so it seems only fair that I have a good dream here and there. I read plenty of fairy tale books that suggest (to vulnerable and innocent children by the way) that dreams do come true. I certainly know nightmares come true (maybe I should write a children's book about that! It won't be a fairy tale either! File that puppy in the non-fiction section)!! I am grateful to have a job though. They seem hard to come by these days. I know lots of out of work folks that are trying to survive. I don't know how they do it. I have to thank God and rejoice when that friggin alarm goes off in the morning because I do have an actual job to go to. None the less, I will be stopping off to buy a shit load of lottery tickets before work tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Winston Churchill once said of the Soviet Union “I cannot forecast [its] action… It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." That can also be an apt description of Kristan. Still I feel fortunate—maybe even blessed—to have gotten to know her even somewhat. We met on another website quite by accident—I simply paid her a compliment. With her in Texas and me in DC, I didn’t give any kind of relationship too much thought. Yet, what ensued was a series of humorous, engaging, and just fun e-mails. And somehow we emerged as friends. I was finally able to met her while on a business trip to Austin. She treated me to...let's say...an "interesting" evening, fun but interesting, as she introduced me to crayfish and Mexican martinis (fortunately for me, my martinis apparently had little alcohol in them so I was able to keep up with Krissy and her "Wild Bunch.") But she also shared her friends with me, and that was a treat too. In the course of the evening, I discovered that Kristan was very much as she describes herself--fun, hyper, high energy and quirky. She does fail to mention that she is also stunningly attractive, which is even more imposing in person. But in the end, she remains enigmatic and mysterious. Trying to capture her in words is like trying to capture the wind...and in the end, perhaps thinking of the wind is the best way to think about Kristan. The wind can warm you, the wind can take your breath away, the wind can infuriate you, the wind can comfort you and can bring relief, and the wind can carry that fragrance that stays with you. Krissy stays with you. Thank you for being a kind with a large soul. I still have the biggest crush on you. Your friend, Mike

Well, OK.... Where do I start talking about this nut? LOL!! j/k. Kris is full of energy. I've known Kris since last year. Boy can we write each other some drunken emails and then send a drunken dictionary afterwards to decipher our chicken scratch. Then it happened, THE GIRL got a CELLPHONE!!!! The world is doomed!!!!! LOL!!! It was funny watching her figure out the phone. Everyone else was programming her phone and making calls to japan. j/k
The first time we met, I thought this chick was on crack!!!! I have never seen anyone stab sushi like she did!!! LOL!!! she has calmed down since then or I'm just use to it now. Not sure which? LOL!!! Not soo much coffee. Well at least she eats abit with the 5 pots of coffee in the morning.
Now partying, I will have to say Kris can throw down with the best. After 10 cherry bombs and 10 Jello shots, I was impressed, too bad Alan couldn't hack it. LOL!!!
OH YEAH!!, the stalking, this girl can stalk you if you are not careful and don't answer her friggin emails or phone calls within HER timely manner. LOL!!! j/k. Kris you know I love ya and will answer your stalking drunken calls, so you can talk to me while you walk yourself to your car at 2AM!!! while I was fast asleep. LOL!!!
To sum up, Kris is a unique girl. It has been her pleasure to meet me. LOL!! Kris is cool and a friggin nut. LOL!! She still needs to work on not getting food on her or anyone around her while she eats. You know what I'm talking about.
I could go on with other stories but Kris is a wonderful girl who I have had the pleasure of meeting. Too bad you can't climb a pole, you always need a push. LOL!!!
Take care Kris.
To everyone else you have been WARNED!!! LOL!!!!

So I am blowin' thru Austin, USA one glorious, rainy weekend when I drop into a Trudy's restaurant to meet up with with this wonderful gal who goes by the name of Kristan. We met, we ate, and we drank ... and we drank more ... and we drank one more. I never touched alcohol before meeting Kristan, and nowadays, I am a regular attendee of AA meetings. Just kidding! I had a great time talking to and drinking with Kristan. My only regret is that I could not stay longer and enjoy another RB and vodka with this fine woman since I had to get back to FORT WORTH (not Dallas, life is way too short to live in Dallas). She is as pleasant to be with as she is to look at. I hope to see you again soon, Kristan!
